Pocono Indy 400 fueled by Sunoco

After 24 years, the IZOD INDY CAR Series finally returned to the "Tricky Triangle" for what turned out to be an interesting race. The day started off for me by showing up to the track and 6am which is normal for any race fan. At 845am all of the drivers in today's race (which was 24 drivers) came out for an autograph session where i was able to get all drivers to sign a program from last years Grand Prix of Baltimore.

At 12pm the race was scheduled to go off with Marco Andretti on the pole. Marco was a local boy that grew up in Nazareth PA so the fans there were cheering for him to win since he was from PA, but also his father captured the final pole award there before they left and his Grandfather won the same race that his dad got the pole.

The race started out with Marcos dominating the first of the race where it seemed like it was a foregone conclusion that he would continue the tradition of winning at Pocono Raceway. But after some slow stops and having to conserve fuel to make it to the end of the race he ended up finishing 10th.
