Rockfeller center tree lighting

Rockefeller center tree lighting.

Every year the tree lighting happens and it helps bring in the Christmas season after the MACYS Thanksgiving Parade. This year was a special year for the area since this tree was a local one from the area where I am from. Not only that but this tree also was able to withstand the winds that came from Superstorm Sandy while other places were damaged and it brought some home pride to this great state.

While walking towards Rockefeller Center I decided to take some photos of the surrounding area in the city.

Of course I got a photo of the tree during the early afternoon. This tree came from Flanders, NJ. This photo shows a good height of what the tree is.
Then how can you go to Rockefeller Center and not take a photo of the statue that is located inside the ice rink. This was during the whole set up for the lighting show that is at night. As you can see there a lot that was being set up for the show.
These two photos are of the statues that are located just outside the tree facing towards 5th ave. It was getting later in the day and as you can see the lighting was starting to hit the statue in a certain way.

The angels that are lined up from 5th Ave and depending on the area you are looking at it makes a great photo. This was taken around 2pm and they were already turning the lights on to get set for the show
Here is a closer view of one of the angels.

It was a great day in the city but the only bad thing was the whole set up for watching the lighting. I ended up leaving which was a great thing since that was the same night Justin Beiber was performing at Madison Square Garden the same night.
